Naira Jansen
World Languages Instructor
Naira is from New Delhi, India where she lived and taught at an international school for a large part of her career. She moved to Chicago in 2016 and joined Beacon Academy as a Spanish Instructor in 2017. She has a master's degree in Spanish Language and Latin American Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi and studied Spanish Culture and History at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain. Naira holds a Certificate in Instructional Coaching and leverages her vast knowledge of and experience with teaching in her coaching and mentorship at Beacon Academy. Naira is most interested in the intersection of deep learning and contextual language teaching that helps make language learning an authentic and joyful experience for students.
