| Our teachers instill an “I can” mantra in students by getting to know them, making them feel seen, offering support, and nurturing their self-esteem. In addition to experience and subject matter excellence, the ability to connect with adolescents is an unwavering requirement of all Beacon faculty and staff. |
Beacon’s programs and curricula are designed to foster critical thinking, self-expression, and ethical development in conjunction with a strong academic foundation. These college and life preparatory goals are central to all three of our academic paths: Core, IB, and XP.

| At Beacon, students participate in creating their learning journey— one that is unique to them, their passions and interests, and where they have room to grow. They are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone and try new things because it is simply the Beacon way. “If not here, then where?” is a common student refrain. |
We intentionally positioned our school in Evanston— a small, progressive, education-focused town— and uniquely designed our learning spaces to foster a sense of freedom. Our students exist in a safe and inspiring space to explore, imagine, create, and develop the habits of a curious learner.
