Katie Roeck is originally from a small town in Wisconsin and received her BS in Art from The University of Wisconsin, Madison. She worked for Kimberly Clark Cooperation in various roles for 12 years and then returned to school earning her BFA, teaching certificate, and MAE from the School of the Art Institute. She taught at Lincoln Park High School for 8 years and for the past 7 years has been teaching art to middle school students at Sacred Heart Schools. While at Sacred Heart, she had the privilege to spend three weeks at their sister school in Taiwan, teaching art and English. Ms. Roeck has also had the opportunity to continue developing her skill as an iconographer, attending two retreats with iconographer Kathy Sievers and a week in England learning with Master Iconographer Aidan Hart. Ms. Roeck is a certified IB art instructor and the mother of two grown children. Her daughter is an Episcopal priest in Minnesota and her son is an artist in New York. Her passions are iconography, silverpoint drawing, letterpress type, knitting, needlepoint, the Green Bay Packers and her grandchildren.
