Virtual Clubs & Interim+

Now, more than ever, students are looking for ways to connect with one another. Our virtual after-school offerings provide opportunities for members of the Beacon community to remain engaged in meaningful ways. Interim, a semi-annual program that provides time for reflection, rejuvenation, and intellectual and personal exploration, has been rebooted this spring with virtual classes ranging from cooking and music experiences to a discussion of Bioethics in the Age of COVID-19 and a conversation about the evolution of video game technology with industry expert Sam Glassenberg.
Clubs, an important part of the student life experience, are taking place now via Zoom, providing another way for our students to connect. Offerings include a weekly arts extravaganza, Dungeons & Dragons, improv, and Interact & Serve, a service club where students have focused some of their recent efforts on making fabric face masks for senior citizens and creating inspirational signs to lift the spirits of those in the community and on the frontline. Below, please find an example of our virtual student life offerings.
