Renée Ruffing

Renee joyfully joined Beacon Academy in 2014 as a founding member of the faculty. She not only created and implemented Beacon’s initial development strategy, and managed two major gift initiatives, but has also been closely involved in the areas of accreditation, admissions and financial aid, student travel, and strategic planning, all while focusing on creating community amongst families.

 

Renee has been fortunate to have worked for two amazing, though very different, independent schools over the last 21 years. She has produced large scale special event fundraisers, created parents’ associations, managed countless volunteers, and raised millions of dollars. She loves the challenge of not only working with volunteers and logistics, but also the joy of collaborating with her colleagues on school management and student experience.

 

Renée grew up experiencing the world in a military family that moved frequently. She loves the outdoors, great food, rowing, traveling, and walking with friends on the streets of Evanston. Renée lives locally with her spouse, son, one dog, and two cats.
