I’m glad you’re here! Beacon Academy is a truly special place for the nearly 200 students, staff, faculty, and administrators who enter its doors each school day. Not only are we one of the few private International Baccalaureate high schools in the Chicagoland area, we are the only high school that marries this world-class program with our student-led, Montessori-inspired teaching philosophy and practices. At Beacon, students are the architects of their learning journey within an intentionally designed network of options— and with incredibly in-tune teachers and advisors to guide them. We believe navigating choice, building strong interpersonal relationships, and growing one’s self-awareness and esteem are as vital to post-secondary preparedness as academic proficiency.
