At Beacon Academy, we understand that choosing the right high school can be a life-changing decision for both students and parents. When considering the various educational opportunities available in Evanston, Chicago, and the suburbs, we believe that Beacon Academy is an exceptional school of choice for inspired learning and preparation for a future as a lifelong learner.

Beacon Academy blends the researched neuroscience of Montessori philosophy, supporting the impact of independence, choice, and curiosity, with a rigorous, challenging, and creative International Baccalaureate curriculum. This integrated educational approach has allowed our College Counselors to successfully place graduating seniors in their own first-choice schools from large Ivy League Universities to small Liberal Arts and Scientific Institutions.

During their four years at Beacon, students will work closely with the faculty, building strong and meaningful interpersonal relationships that help our educators design, pace, and deliver individualized curricula to best suit each student’s needs, rather than simply following an inflexible and possibly ineffective lesson plan. In turn, students have agency over their own learning and school experience, from academics to extracurriculars, growing their knowledge along with their self-confidence and self-awareness, as an individual and within a community.

During the fall admissions season, we are pleased to provide prospective 8th-grade families with the opportunity to meet with us in person via our on-campus events. Families are invited to register for any of the Admissions events. We look forward to getting to know your family!
