Beacon’s Theatre program is a dynamic, hands-on experience where students can explore every aspect of the stage—from acting and directing to playwriting, design, and even theatre management. Collaboration and creativity drive our work, whether we’re improvising as an ensemble or developing original student-written plays. Our three-show season offers exciting opportunities to perform, lead, and build technical skills, with roles available for every interest. We focus on contemporary works by living playwrights and connect students to Chicago’s vibrant theatre scene through guest artist workshops and field trips. With something for everyone, Beacon Theatre is a place to take risks, tell stories, and shine.
