Ben Halter

English & Arts Instructor

 

Ben Halter joined Beacon Academy from Mansueto High School in Chicago where he served as the IB English HL teacher, the Honors Language & Literature teacher, and the chair of the English Department. Originally from the East Coast, Ben graduated high school from The Bishop's School in La Jolla, California before returning to Boston for his undergraduate degree. Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and joined Teach For America upon graduating. While completing his corps experience with Teach For America, Ben earned a Master of Education in Curriculum & Teaching from Boston University. Possessing a similar passion for theatre and the arts, Ben is currently pursuing a second master's degree in Theatre Education. In his classes, Ben values developing meaningful connections with students and engaging his students in academically rigorous discussions about literary works.
