Q: What are a few highlights you can share from your time at Knox College?
A: I love how easy it is for me to follow my creativity and curiosity at Knox. I have my own studio in the art building, funding for many research projects, supportive mentors, and great friends! Some of my favorite Knox memories are studying abroad in Costa Rica, studying bioregional herbalism in an immersive summer research program, and painting a mural at the Knox Farm.

Q: How did your time at Beacon Academy impact the path that you are on today?
A: Skills I developed at Beacon, like leadership, community engagement, multidisciplinary thinking, self-guided artistic practice, and strong Spanish Language skills have all helped me get to where I am today!

Q: What are you looking forward to this coming year?
A: This year, I look forward to making lots of art for my senior art show and investigating how to increase the efficacy of our on-campus composting systems as part of my anthropology capstone project. I'm also planning to spend the spring trimester participating in the Green Oaks  Emersion term (living and taking all my classes in nature at our biological field research station) and extending my studies into a free fifth year. Knox College is offering this as an opportunity to students enrolled during the pandemic.
